I became a huge fan after falling in love with the Dazed Dress last year. When I needed a standout midi dress for a black-tie optional event, Georgia Hardinge was top of mind. Enter the Relic Dress: elegant, unique, and surprisingly comfortable. Let’s dive into sizing, styling, and everything you need to know about this metallic midi.

Fit Sizing
I’m 5’10” and typically a US size 2/4. In this dress, I’m wearing a UK 8 (US Small), and it fits true to size. The adjustable straps were a big plus for me since I’m smaller busted — I tightened them slightly for a more secure, flattering fit.
Because the straps adjust, the length can vary a little. On me, the dress hit mid-calf, with the shortest hem measuring about 35″ and the longest about 55″. It’s a classic A-line ankle dress that feels elevated but still super wearable.
One thing to note: if you’re smaller in the bust like me, you might want to add small inserts to help fill it out a bit more. I did this, and it gave a seamless, natural shape without altering the look of the dress.

The Relic Dress is made from a midweight metallic jersey that’s pleated all over in a gorgeous sunray design. It’s not thick or heavy — it’s lightweight, flowy, and moves beautifully. The silver threading catches the light beautifully, giving the dress a soft, luminous glow that’s not overpowering. Like all Georgia Hardinge pieces I’ve tried, it’s incredibly comfortable. I wore it all night without feeling restricted or needing to adjust it.
One thing I especially love: the dress is handwashable — no dry cleaning needed, which is a huge bonus. Even better, the sparkle is securely woven into the fabric, so it doesn’t shed glitter everywhere.
Styling Tips
For accessories, I opted for silver to complement the sparkle of the dress. Here’s what I wore:
